Thembela Venue is a wedding and function venue between Richards Bay and Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal. In this notice, "we" and "us" mean Thembela Venue. You can reach us at cecile@functionfoods.co.za or on +27 35 797 3305.

This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

When you send us an enquiry we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, your partner's name if you give it, your email address, your phone number, the date you are considering, your guest numbers, and anything you write in the message.

We also collect basic, anonymous information about how this website is used, such as which pages are visited and roughly where in the world the visit came from. This is not linked to your name and we do not use it to identify you.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, your identity number, banking details or passwords through this website.

To answer your enquiry, check whether your date is available, quote you, and plan your celebration with you if you book. That is the whole of it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Your enquiry reaches us by email and is stored in our own booking system so that nothing is lost between a first message and your wedding day. The companies that host this website and carry that email see the information only in the course of providing those services.

If you book with us, the members of our team working on your celebration will see the details they need in order to do their jobs.

We will only hand your information to anybody else if the law requires it.

We keep enquiries for as long as we may still be of use to you, and we keep the records of a booking for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, and object to us using it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, although that may mean we can no longer help you with your enquiry.

Write to cecile@functionfoods.co.za and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you are entitled to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

This website stores a small amount of information in your browser so that it works properly and remembers choices you have made, such as a planning brief you have started. It does not follow you around other websites.
